Nuisance motorbike seized - You Said, We Did! |

Dear Resident,
On 7th April 2026, following information provided by members of the public regarding an illegal electric motor bike causing nuisance in Stanley, officers from Wakefield District Off-Road Bike Team attended an address in the St Swithin's Way area. Utilising powers under the Police Reform Act 2002 and the Road Traffic Act 1988, they were able to locate and seize the vehicle thereby preventing it from disrupting the local community any further. The rider is also to be prosecuted for its illegal use on public roads and parks.
This high-powered electric motorbike (pictured below) was seized as a direct result of the information provided by the public and the Off-Road Bike Team will act confidentially upon any community intelligence provided which identifies the offender or the whereabouts of the vehicle.
